New Audio Walking Tour of Porto
The First Audio Tour of Porto
When I created my first audio walking tour of Porto, I quickly realised I had a problem: there was simply too much to share.
Porto is a city of layers. Behind every church, alleyway, bridge, and viewpoint lies another story waiting to be told. My first Porto audio tour takes travellers to many of the city’s most famous sights, including São Bento Station, famous for its magnificent azulejo tiles that tell the story of Portugal.

From there, you’ll discover the beautiful Livraria Lello, often linked to the world of Harry Potter, admire the soaring Clérigos Tower, and find what I believe is one of the best pastéis de nata in Porto.

Having lived in Porto and worked as a tuk-tuk driver, I spent years exploring the city and sharing its secrets with visitors from around the world. Along the way, I discovered hidden viewpoints, fascinating local stories, and lesser-known corners that many travellers never see.
The first tour answers questions such as: Who were the first people to settle in Porto? Why is the city so important to Portugal’s history? It also introduces some unexpected cultural gems, including Porto’s puppet theatre, something close to my heart as a former performer and writer of children’s theatre in the United Kingdom.
Introducing My Hidden Porto Tour
But there was still more to tell.
That’s why I created my second Porto audio guide: Hidden Porto.
This tour takes you beyond the major landmarks and into the Porto I know and love. It’s the Porto where I meet friends for coffee, wander through quiet backstreets, and discover stories hidden from most guidebooks.
You’ll visit places such as Café Santiago, home of the famous Francesinha — Porto’s legendary sandwich and one of Portugal’s great culinary icons.
You’ll explore forgotten alleyways where church prisons once held their captives, wander through quieter neighbourhoods away from the crowds, and enjoy some of the finest views over the River Douro.

These are the stories that don’t always make it into traditional guidebooks.
More Than Sightseeing
For me, Porto is not just a collection of beautiful buildings. It is a city shaped by merchants, sailors, pilgrims, revolutionaries, monks, and dreamers.
The River Douro has carried wine, wealth, and adventure for centuries. Along its banks, fortunes were made, empires were built, and countless stories unfolded.

These two audio walking tours are my love letter to Porto.
Whether this is your first visit or your tenth, my goal is simple: to help you see beyond the postcards and discover the city as a storyteller and local resident would.
